Warranty and Returns
We do not take returns. Not on the website and not on eBay.
There are two exceptions, and both of them are cases where we got it wrong. A machine that is not what the listing said it was, and a part we made wrong against your drawing. Everything below is the detail on that.
Used machinery
Used machines get powered on and run as far as we can run them before they go up for sale. Whatever we find goes on the listing. If a machine is untested, or damaged, or missing parts, the listing says so.
It is sold the way it sits. Final sale.
The exception is the listing itself. If a machine shows up and it is not what the listing said it was, call us. We will make it right, and depending on what it is that could mean fixing it, taking it back, or refunding you. We write the listings, so that part is on us.
New equipment
We do not stock new machinery. It gets sourced from the supplier or the manufacturer when somebody asks for something specific.
New machines carry the manufacturer’s warranty if the manufacturer offers one, and A&A does not add anything on top of it. We will tell you what the terms are before you buy. If something goes wrong later, call us and we will help you file it.
Parts we sell
Motors new and used, gearboxes, electrical, pneumatics. Same on the website and on our eBay store, and the policy is the same in both places.
All final sale, no returns. Most of it comes off machines, and there is no honest way to warranty a used gearbox. Ask us anything before you buy and we will tell you what we know about it and where it came from.
Parts we make
Machined, printed, laser cut. One off or a production run.
We make it to the drawing, the file, or the sample you send us. If what shows up does not match what we worked from, that one is on us. Send a picture, tell us within 30 days of delivery, and we will make it again at no charge and cover the shipping to get the wrong one back.
That is the only return we take, and it covers our work and not the design. A drawing that was wrong to start with, a part run past what it was built for, or a wear item that wore, those are a new part rather than a remake. Call anyway. We keep the model on file, so a revision is usually quicker than the first one was.
Freight damage
Look at it before you sign for it. If a crate comes off the truck beat up, write it on the delivery receipt and take pictures right there. That is what a freight claim runs on and there is not much anybody can do without it. Call us and we will help you file.
